About Masterpiece Whitetails
Perfectly positioned in the heart of the mid-west, Masterpiece Whitetails has become legendary in the whitetail hunting community! Located in Montrose, MI we are conveniently located to Detroit Metro, Flint Bishop, or Saginaw MBS Airports for easy access to our trophy whitetail deer hunting ranch.
We have some of the best habitats for hunting trophy whitetail. We hunt hardwood ridges, creek bottoms and food plots. Our professional staff has strategically built whitetail sanctuaries that we never enter. These areas of thick cover offer safety and security, helping to limit hunting pressure. The mid-west is known for huge mature whitetails and our hunting ranch is no exception. Our deer have great mass, exceptional tine length and huge bodies! We have for your comfort enclosed Muddy & Redneck 10′ tower blinds and 2-man ladder stands positioned perfectly for hunting our trophy deer. We also have blinds set up for handicap hunters that have ramps and can accommodate 2-wheelchairs and a guide or cameraman.
Your whitetail hunting packages include one-on-one or a two-on-one guided hunt, meals, beverages, lodging and daily housekeeping. Your hunting guide will skin and quarter your deer preparing your harvest for you to take home, caping head and removing antlers will be an additional $125. Local meat processing and taxidermy are available and will be the responsibility of the hunter.
Our hunting season in Michigan runs from the end of August for a velvet whitetail through mid-January for a frigid temperature winter monarch. There is no hunting license required. We can comfortably accommodate one to six deer hunters, as well as non-hunting guests.

The lodge conveniently offers a launch on site for kayaking, canoeing, and fishing! The smallmouth and largemouth bass fishing and walleye fishing is fantastic spring, summer and fall! Masterpiece Whitetails also offers fully guided pheasant hunts, as well as spring and fall turkey hunts. In addition we offer world class guided walleye trips on the Detroit River, perch on Lake St. Clair, and trophy muskie fishing on Lake St. Clair!
